Ash Scattering
We offer a very unique service here in Salcombe, where we can take up to 12 of you and your family for an hour on our boat. We kit you out in full sailing gear, if the weather dictates, and mandatory lifejackets. We meet you at the central commercial pontoon in the heart of Salcombe. We will endeavour to work with your wish list to say your final goodbye to your loved one.
From the pontoon, we can head straight out to sea and once over the Salcombe Harbour bar where we can slow down to a stop at any location and with wind and tidal considerations, go ahead with the special scattering.
There is no rush to do this and, if you’d prefer, we can have a trip around the harbour first to take in some of the wildlife and scenery. We know this is a really special and very often sad time but hope to leave you feeling that you have said your final goodbye with love, dignity and grace.
If you’d like to bring special food and drink about, that is fine.
If you’d like to bring special flowers, petals or feathers, that is fine.
If you’d like to read a poem, or have special words said, that is fine.
If you’d like complete silence, we will of course respect that.
We would like to offer you a trip out to sea to say goodbye to your loved one. Our aim is to thoroughly look after you and make sure all your wishes are achieved. Returning to the pontoon, to know that you have said goodbye to your friend or family member with the greatest honour and respect and to have had a lovely boat trip is possibly one of the nicest ways to remember such a time.
Price for 2024 £350 for upto 12 people. We have a second boat that takes a further 7 passengers if needed.
