BAREBOAT RIB CHARTER
Charter of the Sea N Shore rib under bareboat hire.
Chartering a Sea-n-Shore Rib by the day is a great value way to have fun and excitement on the water and explore the Salcombe coast – without all the hassle and expense of buying, transporting and running your own boat.
You pay just £480 plus fuel per day for a 8 man rib in Salcombe
- We pay for the harbour dues
- We pay for the mooring fee in Salcombe.
- We pay for the upkeep and servicing of the rib and engine.
- We pay for winter storage
- We take the 12% yearly depreciation on the rib
- We pay for the insurance
- We pay for launching and recovery
- We pay for the antifoul, maintenance and servicing.
- Trailer maintenance and storage
- We pay for the commercial coding of the vessel
KEY POINTS
Qualifications
In the UK, you need a powerboat level 2 certificate. The certificate is best obtained from Sea N Shore in Salcombe, If you have the qualification from another sea school, we need you to commit to a 3 hour assessment and training session with us before we agree the hire.
Insurance
The boats are fully insured although the charterer is liable for damage to the level of the excess. There is a minimum age requirement set by the insurers which is 25. We must have £3000 pre authorised on a credit/debit card as a deposit to cover any damage or loss during your hire.
Age of passengers
There is no age limit.
Lifejackets
We provide automatic lifejackets for all adults and have buoyancy aids for children.
Distance
The boat is MCA coded for a total of 8 people. The boat is fitted with a tracker. The boat cannot go further than Start Point Lighthouse to the East, and Burgh Island to the West. If the tracker shows you have gone further, you will loose 100% of your £3000 deposit.
Night time use
If two days are booked consecutively,it is not insured for use after sunset. it must be returned to our deep water mooring every evening by 5pm.
Health and Safety
You will be responsible for the safety of your passengers and need to drive in a way that does not expose your passengers to risk. Ribs are not suitable for those with an illness or injury for whom shock loads may present a problem. This includes those who have neck, back, hip, knee or foot injuries or who are pregnant. Ribs are not suitable for those who have consumed alcohol or taken intoxicating drugs. The kill cord must be worn at all times.
Fuel
The boat will be given to you fully fuelled up to 175 litres. You must refuel and pay at the fuel barge before it closes and the end of your hire period.
Cancellation
Boats cancelled within 7 days of the charter date for reasons other than poor weather are chargeable in full.
